Simply turn up at your chosen ATF with your End of Life Vehicle and your registration documents the (V5C form). If your vehicle can not be driven, arrange for it to be picked up and delivered – some ATFs will offer this service.

At the ATF you will have to fill in the V5c form and other appropriate sections of the registration documents. This will transfer your responsibility for the vehicle over to the ATF. You should then be issued with a Certificate of Destruction for your vehicle.

In some cases the Certificate will not be immediately available. In this situation, obtain a receipt for the vehicle and the Certificate of Destruction can either be posted to you or collected later at your convenience.
